Coming soon: Refunds in Kitomba 1

Refunds are coming soon to Kitomba 1 Point-of-Sale, providing the ability to process refunds for any services or products using any device.  

Sometimes things don’t go as planned; a product or service might no longer be required or may not have met client expectations. Processing refunds in Kitomba 1 makes it easier to deal with refunds quickly and seamlessly, improving the client experience. 

With refunds in Kitomba 1, you can: 

  • Prevent negative reviews or complaints by offering a refund, either partially or in full, showing clients you care about their experience and are willing to put things right. 
  • Quickly and easily process a refund on any device, freeing up the front desk and enabling refund conversations to be had privately.  
  • Access a partial or full record of refunds in the Client Card, Sales tab or the Kitomba 1 Security Log, providing an accurate and up-to-date trail of all transactions. 

When will I receive this update?

We understand how important your Point-of-Sale functionality is to your business, so we’ll be updating all our customers’ software slowly over the next little while. If you can’t see the option to refund, don’t worry, you will soon!  

You’ll receive a message from us before and immediately after we update your Point-of-Sale functions to let you know when the changes have been made.   

Refunding in Kitomba 1 is available to Platinum and Diamond customers.

What’s
new in Kitomba 1 Point-of-Sale?

1. Offer a partial or full refund 

Prevent negative reviews or complaints by showing clients you care about their experience and are willing to put things right.  

Similar to completing a sale in Kitomba 1, you can follow the same sequence and select the Refund button where a window will pop out and allow you to offer a partial or full refund against a product or service within the invoice (Packages can also be refunded).

2. Successfully process a refund on any device 

Not only will you be able to free up the front desk, but you’ll have the chance to demonstrate a professional and respectful manner around the open salon as you address client requests from any device. 

3. Access a clear record of any processed refund  

Be confident with business decisions and customer resolutions with an accurate and reliable refund history. 

The Sales tab and the Kitomba 1 Security Log will update automatically with details regarding a processed refund, including date/time, refund amount, and more. The Client card will also show partial information. 

Who can process refunds?

The ability to perform an action for a refund shares the Kitomba 1 invoicing permission, which means any user with invoicing permissions will automatically have access. Actions, including user, will be tracked in the security log.  

How will I know when I can process refunds in Kitomba 1? 

If you are on our Platinum or Diamond package, we’ll send you a message before and immediately after we update your software.
