New Online Booking feature: Required follow-on services

If you’re a Diamond customer with Kitomba Online Booking, you can now add required follow-on services that clients must choose to complete their booking.

This feature is useful if your clients often forget to book finishing services, such as booking a full head of foils without a toner, cut or blow dry afterward.

Adding required follow-on services will ensure your clients are selecting the correct services together when booking an appointment online, while also making sure the available times shown meet the requirements of the booking.

This will improve your client experience, while also saving your team time by reducing the need to contact clients to adjust bookings.

How it works

  • Choose required follow-on services to add to an online booking when a specific service is selected. For example, a cut or a blow dry after a colour service.
  • The client will be notified when they select a service to “Please choose a follow-on service” before continuing with their online booking.
  • This will ensure your clients are selecting the correct services together when booking an appointment online, while also making sure the available times shown meet the requirements of the booking.

How to set up follow-on services

Found under the Manage tab in Kitomba 1, click on ‘Manage’ and select ‘Services’. Choose a service from the list on the left to find the follow-on service settings.

Tick ‘Required Follow On’ and then select the “Follow on services” box. You can either scroll down the list to find the service you’d like to make the follow-on or start typing to search for it. You can select one or more options.

Click the ‘Save’ button, and you’ve successfully created a follow-on service.

What your clients will see

When a client selects a service that has a required follow-on service, they will be prompted to “Please choose a follow-on service” and are shown a list of options. If they select an option that has its own follow-on service, it will prompt them to select another.

How to get started

The ability to add follow-on services is available for all Kitomba customers on the Diamond package with Online Booking, and can be managed through Kitomba 1. You must have ‘Manage Products and Services’ permissions to use this feature.

Getting started is easy – login to Kitomba 1 on any device, visit ‘Services’ under the ‘Manage’ tab, and start adding follow-on services.
