If you experience unplanned staff leave and timetable changes (and have access to the Kitomba 1 Appointment Book) we’ve got a new feature which will be available in the coming weeks!
Kitomba 1 Timetable Overrides gives you the ability to override staff timetables no matter where you are or what device you use.
Override a timetable
1. If you’re an Advanced or Admin user you can click on the staff member’s name at the top of the Kitomba 1 Appointment Book:
2. Select the most suitable timetable override type:
3. Enter the details into the required fields and select save.
Timetable override types
‘Working’
Use ‘Working’ to make a one-off change to a staff member’s working hours. Here you can set or edit working hours, add or adjust lunch or break time, and create or edit custom times for things like meetings, training, admin or reception time.
‘Not working’
Choose this option if a staff member isn’t working their standard hours for that day.
‘Leave’
To add a leave day select the ‘Leave’ option. You can include a leave reason, e.g. annual, sick or unpaid leave.
‘Partial leave’
Use ‘Partial leave’ and add a reason if the staff member just has a few hours off work. Here you can also adjust working hours, lunch, break and custom time if needed.
Tip! You can update and create custom time and leave reasons by visiting ‘Reasons’ in the Kitomba Admin tab. Check out our support guide for help.
View timetable overrides
Once you’ve saved a timetable override, you’ll see a pink triangle in the corner of the staff member’s column. This allows you and the rest of your team to quickly see that there are changes to their usual hours.
Revert to normal working hours
Use the ‘Revert to normal working hours’ button if you’ve completed a timetable override and would like to change the timetable back to normal working hours.

was this available for single site user yet? as I am unable to click on the staff name in K1 appointment book

This is a great feature – is it possible though to have it available for users on Standard access or is it Admin only?
K1 would be much better if we could choose what feature each user could access (like in the core software)
