We are definitely on the countdown to Christmas with just under 8 weeks to go. Personally I would like to know who has been tampering with time as it seems like only yesterday I was welcoming in 2014! We have a small window of sanity before clients come en mass, all wanting to look fabulous for the festive season. From now until the end of the year you will have more clients sitting in your chair or lying on your beauty bed than any other month of the year…now is the time to check you have all your “ducks in a row” and are ready to ride the wave!
Here are a few tips:
1. Keeping your Client Journey on track is vital – when it gets busy, quite often the upselling and retail/treatment recommendations go out the window! Morning huddles and team talks will keep everyone focused instead of flustered.
2. How’s the appointment book looking? Are there any gaps that need filling? Maybe a text/email/Facebook post to all your clients to remind them times are filling fast and you don’t want them to miss out on an appointment.
3. Have you got your hours and staffing right? Maybe you need an extra pair of hands to keep things ticking along or should you be extending your hours to meet the demand.
4. Now is a great time to reinforce your cancellation policy. You may even need to shorten your notification time frames for November and December. Again a text/email or Facebook post is a gentle reminder and an easy way to let your clients know.
