Sherri-lee, owner of award winning beauty salon Puravida Beauty is still working hard even though she can’t be at her salon right now. We asked her to share what she’s been getting up to during this time.
Working on the business
Sherri-lee says she’s used this time in lockdown as an opportunity to work on the business since she can’t work in it. Here’s what she’s been focusing on:
- Fine-tuning our policies and procedures to train up staff while we can’t work on clients.
- Implementing systems to ensure business runs as smoothly as possible, both now and after we reopen.
- Taking a close look at our current processes to assess if what we already do is the best way to do it, or if we can improve on the service we offer.
Continuously learning
Ongoing learning is really important to Sherri-lee, “I am super passionate about knowledge and always learning, so we are doing as much study as we can from home right now. That way, when we are back in action we’ll be in an even better position than where we were before! “
Keeping in touch with clients
“Our clients are the reason we’re able to do what we do. I am using social media and newsletters to check in, I continue to share our knowledge, highlight our amazing products, provide some light funny quotes and get a few challenges going.
Finally, the biggest thing for me is, whatever I do it needs to be authentic. So it’s people before profit at the moment and taking the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown as an opportunity to focus on all the ways I can take my business to the next level.”
