“Entering the Kitomba NZARH Business Awards is one of the most, empowering, positive and emotionally fulfilling things that I have ever done. Winning has given me a massive sense of achievement, appreciation for my staff and reinforced my love of the New Zealand Hairdressing Industry. I entered these awards to gauge where my business stood within our industry, and to push myself to grow and achieve the very best that I could for my brand. Opening yourself up to scrutiny and being compared to your peers is both uplifting and challenging at the same time. This is a healthy thing to do if you want a true reflection of your business, and a reason to push for success.”
Kitomba CEO, Tom Murphy commented,
“La Villa Hair and Beauty put forward a stunning presentation with exceptional results that connected us to the client’s journey and experience. With a crystal clear vision and clear business savvy, La Villa is destined to enjoy sustainable growth and profitability. All New Zealand hair salons should look to La Villa as a template for business success within this tough and competitive industry.”

Having a team that love their craft and love people is vital to sustainable success. Our involvement with other salons and hairdressing gurus such as Michael Beele and, powerhouse, Mana Dave has contributed hugely to our fashion focused direction with our craft being at the fore of our customer experience.” We can take away almost all of the ingredients of our business and still have a business of some sort, but without our clients we have nothing.”
A big thanks has to go out to all of our sponsors and judges. Without your support, these awards would not be possible.
