Yes, Kitomba targets will be here in less than four weeks! Soon you’ll be able to easily set targets, use your mobile to check progress in real time, motivate your staff, and achieve your business goals.

There’s not long to go, so we thought we’d help you get prepared for the release of this highly requested feature.

Have a team meeting

Targets is going to change the way you motivate, inspire and empower your staff. So this is the perfect time to get to work on how you’ll use this new feature to your advantage. Try this:

1. Determine your objectives: sit down and visualise where you want your business to be. Perhaps you want to grow your business or expand your service offering.
2. Set goals: this is where you need to decide how you’re going to get there. So customise the Business Summary Report to show what you want to see, print it out and take a good look at the numbers. Where can you improve? Perhaps your rebooking rate is quite low and your client average spend isn’t as high as you thought it was.
3. Meeting time: sit down with your team and discuss the areas where you’d like to improve. Most importantly explain why. You need them to buy into your strategy and understand how they link to the businesses success. You’ll also need to discuss how. Get them involved, they’ll probably have some great ideas.  

Preparing to integrate targets into your day

To get the most out of targets from day one, there are a few things you can do:

• Set some one-on-one meetings this month and use the time to talk with your staff about how they’re motivated and what they’d like to see for their personal targets. You’ll be prepared to create their targets the minute our feature is released and your team can get to work!
• Do you have a morning meeting? Let your team know you’ll be adding a couple of minutes to the end so each person can tell the team where they’re at, and what they’re going to do today to hit their target.
• Purchase a tablet for your salon or encourage the use of the devices you already have. Getting your staff regularly using client photos and accessing their daily appointment list not only bring their own benefits, but will ensure using devices in the salon is part of their regular routine when targets arrive.

Set your staff as limited users

We’ve created a cool user type that keeps all your business data secure, but allows your staff to access our Kitomba 1 features. As a limited user, they’ll only have access to their own personal daily appointment list, scoreboard, targets and of course be able to access and upload client photos.

It’ll take just a few minutes, so log into Kitomba 1, pop into the settings tab and give your staff Kitomba 1 limited user access. To see how check out our support guide.
